Hi,
are you asking for flashers & programmers or diagnostic tools, or programs to use to edit bins?

Sorry you will have to bare with me as I am very new to this, so might have to take baby steps for a while!! probably be asking some dumb question but I like to play and learn stuff.... I learn best by seeing other people do it so I am using 2 files from here for renalt EGR off and ori ...... been comparing in winols and using addresses people have posted on here to try and get a grip on finding maps etc.

Still a bit advanced for me but I would really like to get my head around it as it seems to be the way things are going now, why remove a pefectly good ecu for a standalone when you can map an OEM one.

I am looking for a programmer/flasher and software to edit.... I have winols and just had a play with it and sort of getting the hang of it.

Okay,
you already have WinOLS - that's the best SW ever...

For flashers, you can take a look for FGTech Galletto2, MPPS v12, CMD-BDM, Kess, Piasini, Galletto 1260,
maybe you take a look for this site it will help you find what does support what... http://flash.ecubin.com

than you can decide which programmer / flasher is most suitable for your needs...

cheers

I have ordered a galletto, and I think I am now getting the hang of finding maps and turning into tables and 3d.

No am trying to work out how you know what each map is for?

Do people here do their own checksum or just buy the plugins for winols? How do you convert a demo version into a full version?

Galletto clones have problems with 1.8T - with ME 7.5 for sure. MPPS reads and writes it without problems.
