Dpf remove means turbo vane map adjustment

Postby 187 » Wed Nov 07, 2012 2:06 am

Hi all,

I have seen various dpf removal companies claim that after dpf removal the turbo vain map (n75 on edc15?) needs to be altered to stop the turbo from over spinning. Is this true and if so what changes would need to be made I guess it would be a reduction in the duty cycles to open up the gains a little more.....

Thanks

Yes it´s correct, but this is avoided if u remove DPF by switch. If u use ecusafe, u always have boost spikes, to avoid it u can adjust vanes opening a bit.

thanks kinetic when you say dpf off by switch are we talking about a value changed to disable dpf? is this supported by all ecus and i take it by ecusafe the dpf maps are all zeroed in which case boost spikes?
