can tunerpro be used similar to winols or the more basic software ecm titanium but free?

i understand tunerpro is similar to ecm titanium or winols that is equipped with the correct map pack as the raw data is openeed and then from what i understand an xdf file (map pack) is opened along side the binary file and then all of the maps are accesible/can be edited???

i have had a look at it but struggling to make sense of it in the fact i do not have an xdf file to the particular vehicle i want to use?

does anybody have an xdf for an edc15 golf tdi 130bhp equipped car for example or am i best using winols and trying to find the correct map pack for it?

im just learning so want tghe most user friendly interface possible so i can make changes and feel a difference and see if what i am doing is right
