copying ecu to other

Postby stagefever » Tue Jun 10, 2014 9:06 pm

Hi,
Not sure if this is in the right section but lets try.
I`m a newbie and want to look into understanding and learning how to remap safely and correctly.
I have currently have a Peugeot 307 2.0 hdi with EDC15C2 ecu in it and I`m comfotable to do experiments with it, but I don`t want to brick original ECU.
I have a spare ECU from a similar car(with same ECU serial codes at the back of the ecu), the question is- is it possible to copy the files from the original ecu to my spare one? If so what tools should i need, would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance!

Tom

Hi!
For example, soldering station for the transfer of memory chips.
Or Galletto 1 and programmer for EEPROM.
There may be several options, depending on equipment availability.
Regards.

Peugeots EDC15C2 ECU is very very very hard to brick. If you are one big "talent" and you manage to do that you can easy fix the problem in boot mode. So there is no need buy and use clone ECU on your car.
