im getting an fg tech eu version and a cheap mpps v13

im swapping from using an alientech slave as im tied to one tuner and want to advance on and learn about writing the maps myself but for the time being have a good map supplier

i just want to know the variety of cars im going to be able to do with these 2 pieces of kit for now???

does anyone have any links to what ecu's require what type as in obd/bdm/tricore and if anybody has any good links to pdf's explaining more about what pins do what etc and how the whole process works???

cheers

Hello!
What would You recommend for newbie to start with? What hardware and software to easier to use with BMW e46 318d '04?
What is difference between mpps cable and inpa k+can cable? Can I use this INPA k+can cable to learn the basics?

Hi !
Recently I was get chinese clone K-TAG and KESSv2 v1.89 both
KESS have no 60 token limit now !
Tricore read/write worked fine.
Also, for old ECU I recommend Galletto 1260 and MPPS 13.02, working well for me too, but very cheap.

Hi.
I used mpps 13.02 today for my e46 320d (150bhp)
i didn't try it with lov voltage (under 14V) so i went and buy an charger which can do slow, fast and start mod...
fast mod wasn't enough (20A) so i used the start mod of the charger, it was ok!
I was able to reed my ecu and i sent it away and got an modified file in one hour, load it up and went on a test drive.
the map was ok, good acceleration, im quet happy! So if do the requirements mpps is a good tool to remapping!
I used this kind of tools first and reemapad car first and was easy, but i was stersfull till i've finished... :)
its a cheap tool! I bught it from ebay for 35pounds
