Had a quick look at your file.
I am not a professional but I think you should extend your boost target map IQ axis to 66mg. It's not a limiter but ECU will request the same boost pressure from 50mg/stoke to 66mg/stroke.

PD130 Injectors are capable to inject more than 60mg/stroke to 4500 rpm so you might want to raise IQ values in TL for 4250-4500 rpm.

Have you measured your EGT's? Just calculated some EOI values and at some points your EOI is about 10. If EGT's are too high you could try fine tuning 66mg SOI values so that EOI is at least in the range of 6-8. Just don't advance SOI too much because it will cause higher cylinder pressures -> more stress to engine internals. It's safer to have too high EOI than too early SOI.

These are just my thoughts and otherwise file looks pretty good.

Thanks.

I didnt wanted to iniect to that range to keep EGT down.
Axis turbo moded ;)

I havent touched SOI Because i was affraid to do damage :lolno:

I think using 66mg/st might be a bit excessive given that the ECU WILL interpolate values above its last axis heading. Seat proved this in their PD 160 tdi and all that matters is that the last two axis heading are differant and (or) that the values in the last two columns are differant. If you were to make a graph and draw a line up through the axis headings yours now goes from 50 to 66 and this line WILL carry on upwards even though there are no more headings. Trouble is your line will be gentle up to 50 then swing quite wildly upwards to 66 and it WILL carry on past this and on a now steeper slope. As I said Seat have done this even though their engine is also capable of injecting higher than their 55mg/st maximum axis heading. I think your engine is actually going to now have a higher target boost than you think and be held back by the boost pressure limiter, which i suspect is higher than you would like at 2600mbars. I think following Seats lead might be an idea while you only want to use similar or slightly lower boost levels than their PD160.
It's funny but looking at others maps is causing me to think about and re-modify my own, to critisize myself, cheers for that! :D

So the moded axis are not correct ?

This is very interesting. I had different values in the last two columns but boost never went over the values in the last column. If I raised the values in the last column I had more boost but I didn't want to go with that much boost on the 50mg/st range so I extended the values to 65mg/st and it works nicely with no overboosting issues (logged several times).

I had to use some very high numbers on my N75 to wind back overboost when I had a high axis heading in the last column and changing the axis heading to a lower value allowed me to use lower N75 ones too. I guess thinking about it longer, the cause could be a PID problem? If the ECU already had boost earlier it would find it easier to control a spike as it has less actual change in boost to contend with, a shorter feedback loop, if that makes sense. I can't easily reproduce any figures unless I had a rolling road to brake the engine down at a specific speed to see what would happpen in a steady state and any feedback loop problem, therefore, negated. That is why I was so sure of the ecu interpolating above its last heading but now I'm actually not quite so sure!

I still think given such a modest raise in boost using a heading of 66 is excessive though especially as Seat chose to use a heading of 55 on their PD160 which has a maximum value of 64mg/st in their smoke limiter (60mg/st in their torque limiter). They use 2550mbars of boost by the way which is 100mbars higher than Klitoni (love to know what that means!)uses.

I'm happy with 2500 on my car and I kinda think that a similar boost with the same axis heading as Seat will probably provide the best blend of economy and clean burning because I am aware that using too much boost for too little fuel just creates mechanical losses and hurts fuel consumption. I think another forum user is experimenting on using less boost at lower mg/st to save fuel by reducing mechanical losses.

I might have to create a bunch of test maps for when I can finally rolling road my car rather than terrorising the hedgehogs down the back roads to test and log. :D

I meant boost spikes during a 1200rpm full throttle, third gear boost spec vs boost actual run, not overboost per se.
