Portable battery support units for ECU remapping

Postby diablofan » Fri Feb 16, 2024 1:13 am

Hello,
I've been looking for portable battery charger solutions suitable for ECU remapping for when there's no access to outlets. I've been thinking about the option of using my personal car and inverter to power my regular battery stabalizer. The car alternator seems rated well above the possible current demand of the stabalizer(the car battery), so I was wondering if there's something I'm missing about this concept ? Another thought was what if I hook the battery of the car with the running engine straight to the "remapped" car and use it to support the current demand (skipping the inverter and stabalizer stage)? Besides the voltage possibly flactuating a bit depending on what the car battery management will do, how bad of an idea that would be? Any thoughts on that are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

skipping the inverter and stabalizer stage is better ... inverter gives disturbances

some cars don't charge properly 14(perfect) some cars with SID*** i see orginal charge is from ecu is 12v-15v(bad for work)

and don't put to PC charge to car use battery only better

or remove ecu from car and use bench cable with car battery
