PLZ rate my tune - AR 147 1.9 JTD 115

Postby zok » Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:22 pm

Here's my one hour job which I think isn't THAT bad after all, although no calculations were made, it's more a percent tuning that has later been tested and logged over and over again..

I think no important limiters were missed.

SOI was later modified a bit, but again - just approximately (extended axis and interpolated to suit EOI in the last column in ori file).

ELM shows IQ 80 mg/str, FRP 1400 bar and MAP 2450 mbar.

It still lacks of power, it suffers a huge turbo hole below 2k rpm, but the car's owner said that it is a true TDI killer. I don't know what it means and how does it look like, because my mondeo eats everything that comes by.

ori_file.bin is an original file, mod_file_v4.bin is a modified file, and mappack.kp is a map pack.

Oh, I accidently uploaded v3, not v4... anyway, SOI map Y axis was extended to 70 mg/str and interpolated. And IQ limiter 7846E was modified to 8000.

The car drives just fine (although the final version has a SOI modified), I just wanted to see a second opinion.

I do it that way, some do it other ways, and some others just fu*k up DOI maps, FRP maps, boost maps and leave single value limiters intact.

If a map pack suits your needs, use it. But this is only a basic remap. Much more should be done for optimal performance, driveability and economy. Like I said - it is a half hour job - to make a map pack, modify values and try it on a car.

p.s.: I don't own an Alfa. I never really liked them.

N75 was modded due to HUGE turbo hole. Still not overboosting at all, and (although a bit better) almost no torque at all at low-end rpm (compared to my TDCi). :eh:

78198 - you're right, and I could really leave boost unmodded at lower torque demands..

7846e and 78470 are single value IQ limiters. In v4 set to 8000.

72366 - I totally missed that... why is FiatECUScan showing up to 80 mg/str? :eh: Couldn't be other than interpolation, I suppose - even if I extended the map, I wouldn't do other than interpolate - I don't have any accurate data for those injectors, and they are probably impossible to get..

7846e and 78470 - bad, there is no such a DAMOS at this address.
N75 - mod you block the exhaust gases. And the engine harder to gain traction.
78198 - this thermal motor protection.
72366 - calculate estimated

In your file ori maximum TL = 60mm3. And at 78470 IQ = 50mm3 in your ori file. As someone stupid?
But I also Fiat 15c7 and a similar address (78470) also value 50.00. But upon arrival with FiatECUscan IQ max = 58mm3, so what is the limiter?

Then I don't know what this is - as I said, I looked at the damos.

The car gets to 80 mg/str, 1400 bar, boost gets up to requested, consumption remained the same, the owner is satisfied - that is the point.

I uploaded this file more for a map pack as it was very hard for me to get all SVBL's and SVRPL's when I started modding dumps. This way, someone tuning his JTD can find them much easier.
