Peugeot 407 1.6 HDi EDC16C3

Postby Rob Turbo » Sun Nov 30, 2014 3:49 pm

I bought a Peugeot 407 1.6 HDi cheap because of a DPF fault, expecting it to be a simple fix. Turns out the DPF and CAT have been hollowed out already, I read the ECU to find it had been remapped and they had used ecusafe to turn off the DPF. I found an ori for my ecu and think I've turned off the DPF properly, the switch I believe is at E48C9, since flashing this file the car hasn't tried to regen.

The problem I'm having is there's no power below 2k RPM, it was like this when I bought it but I thought it was because of the DPF fault, could it be because there's less back pressure with no DPF/CAT? I'm not getting any fault codes that could cause it.

I was thinking about a slight remap to compensate for it, I think I have the torque limiters at C7CE4 and C7DA2, rail pressure at E6246 and E6498.

It's been a while since I've done any remapping, last time was EDC15 which seemed much easier! I'm going to spend some time tonight looking for drivers wish, smoke limiter and turbo pressure maps, any pointers would be appreciated!

I've attached the ori, the file from the car with ecusafe and remap, and my DPF off.

For a quick remap, DW near the start of the block, torque limiter(s), and lambda(smoke map rpm/maf)
Look at the N75 (boost precontrol) for creating/relieving backpressure.

Is E0726 an N75 map? If it is it looks like it explains why its so flat up to 2k RPM.

Thanks,
Rob

Also, am I correct in thinking D084E, D5E4E and D626A are the smoke limiters?

Thats the N75, there is also one before, and one after. And that one does look very 'open'

Not sure what those 3 are.

The smoke/lambda is not far after the torque maps (16x16)

So the other N75 maps are E04E6 and E0BB2?

And C8578 is the smoke limiter?

Thanks,
Rob

I made a quick test map tonight, I copied the values from the last N75 map into the other 2 N75 maps, so none of them had the big dip in them, wrote it to the ecu and took it for a spin, it still drives exactly the same, no power at all below 2k RPM, I think I need to look elsewhere for the problem.

Thats to be expected, the first 3 are only used during different regen states.

So are all 3 N75 maps I have only used during regen? Where's the one I need?

Thanks,
Rob
