This is not a tuning request as such, but I was wondering if someone could have a look over this file for me? Ove bought a 2001 406 hdi as a work hack, and it seems to have some poor quality remap on it. The car diesel knocks and judders as if the injection timing is too far retarded, and just generally drives poorly. The injectors and turbo are fine so I don't think it's anything mechanical.

Apparently the previous owner had the fap mapped out, is this true?

I've tried making sense of the file, but no matter how many times I try I can't find any maps, and none of the map packs/damos files I can find are of any help. They just provide me with a load of jumbled up maps that bear no resemblance to anything.

If anyone could help me, I'd be eternally grateful :)

this file is "famous" tune that destroys the engines. We saw that tune more thatn 100 times and tune was also measured on dyno and gave poor 165hp and lots of black smoke. If you want to save your engine put original file back on ECU until you decide to get PRO modification. I have opened it once again and here is a list of modified maps in this file. Also injection duration was decalibrated so injectors are opened for 500microseconds in some areas so ecu does not know how much fuel it is throwing into the cylinders...file is crap. Just for comparison, professional changes more than 100maps in this file and also knows what he does and recalculates everything by the book. Here is the list of modifications in that mess:
