All about how to remove FAP and DPF filters

Peugeot 307 edc15c2

Hi,
I have recently bought galletto 1260 cable and downloaded my ECU binary file. I would like to remove the dpf/fap but I am unsure how best to go forward. The car currently shows a blocked filter fault in peugeot planet and the eolys tank is empty so I cannot do a forced regen, and it is in limp home mode. I was originally planning to use ECUsafe to remap but from reading some posts in this forum I am now considering winols as a better option.
Doubts about getting ECUsafe:
1) I have read someplace I may need to get version 1.9 as version 2 doesn't work on this ECU.
2) Neither version may work as I need to clear the blocked filter first.

Doubts about getting winols:
I do not fully understand how the cheksum works and I may end up bricking my ecu.
I do not have any reference information for editing raw binary.

Can anyone advise and assist me with this please?
Best regards
Rooamin.

Hi,
I have used ECUsafe to make a new file but when I try to flash it to ECU using KWP2000+ I get a checksum error. I will attach the post ECUsafe file. Is this because either ECUsafe or KWP are using the wrong checksum algorithm, or is the file corrupt?

TIA
Paul.

Hi,
Edgeras I thank you for your help. I flashed ECU today using a different file and it worked so I didn't want to screw around with it too much. Although i did not use your file it is much appreciated and I have stored it in case i need in the future.
Had a few problems with Block data checksum error again so tried galletto 1260 which seemed to have problems reading ecu , then went back to KWP2000+ and changed from fast speed to slow speed setting and it worked.
Thanks
Paul.

AIlways is best to use slow speed mode. Its safer and error when writing is minimal.

Hi guys, I have a problem because i deleted my fap, in other words i took all insides out and reprogramed my ecu with fap off.
But now!!! i have a problem because i also took out the fap tank that has the eolys liquide inside with pump and through it away, don`t know why i did that but i thought that i would`nt need it any more so the plug that went to fap pump on small tank is open circuit in other case not pluged, but now i have a anti polution on the central panel and the car while driving accelerates by its self up to 3000 rpms and stalls with various fault codes like turbo pressure open circuit, diesel pressure open circuit, accelerator pedal signal 1 short circuit to earth or positive signal 2 aswell etc...
Now what i would like to know is if i have to get another fap tank to plug the pump in so it will close circuit or just reprograming the ecu with fap off will eliminate all these errors.
Sorry i forgot to say what car: 307 sw hdi 2.0 110 hp edc15 c2/ year 2003
Best Regards to all

Nelson
