I deleted them on all forums I joined, as there really was no point in keeping them online any more
They got downloaded over 100 times per version on various forums, but I never got any feedback, I was sick and tired of it...
I have found everything I know myself, from reading, studying and asking the right questions from time to time, over the course of years (5 years now, for this one ECU)...
I don't mind helping newbies, but I only do it in person now, I won't give away any freebies to the newbies any more ;)
It's just my principle now, been the nice guy for far too long...
And you are right, don't base yourself on those files, I kept them online, as they don't matter and are completely wrong in so many ways, but it's jjust to show how I started out ;)

I understand!

It's very difficult to get a feedback or a good advice and... You had many difficults to get informations so it's normal that i have too! Everybody wants help, but nobody want to help. I think i'm not a total newbie but i am a little bit disapointed sometimes because experimented people refuse to answer by a simple "yes you're right, go on" or "no stop it all, go back to sleep, your car will explode!" like it's an heavy secret or their lifes depends on a simple answer.

Btw, thanks so much for your help on others forums, i appreciate :D

How many ponnies on your v10.0 ?

Don't know but I expect v9.2 has about 120BHP, without even playing with soi or durations yet ;)
I can easily keep up with my mates car, which has 115BHP

So after some help from scoppack in this topic right here http://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=29052, I finally got some logging done on the car...
Pretty random logs, as it was just during the 1 hour drive home from work, but some interesting results non the less.
Will be uploading some screenshots shortly ;)

Only thing I forgot was to add railpressure to my logs, which is required to work out the duration in degrees, which would help me to calculate EOI from SOI

Will have to make some time to do some proper logs really, tho 4th gear WOT runs till 4500 aren't really responsible on a public road

From the data I gathered it turns out my small wastegated turbo is doing a heck of a job and manages to raise MAF readings as high as 1100mg/stroke at some times (mainly when it spikes around 2300rpm, right over the MAP sensor limit...)
but also gives a stable +900 - +950 mg/stroke across the range most of the time.

My lambda values are pretty much spot on with the figures I put in the lambda map, from 15.5 afr low down smoothly up to 18.5 afr at around 4000rpm.

Still the car manages to smoke a bit across the entire range and stops smoking from 3500rpm...

IQ wise it spikes just over 60mg/stroke, when the turbo is overboosting (due to higher MAF readings) but is mostly smooth and around 54-59mg/stroke in the sub 3000RPM range.

So I figured out that my EOI would most likely be the cause of the black smoke during WOT.
Here's the topic I started with more details, http://www.ecuconnections.com/forum/vie ... hp?t=29529

After some carefull recalibrating of my duration map, advancing SOI by about 1 - 3° and now running an "insane" railpressure of +1700bar ;) between 2900-4250rpm...
My smokelevels have decreased a fair bit, and are within the range of acceptable now ;)
EOI peaks at around 15° but generally dropped more the 5° in most areas :D

Heres a picture of part of my old EOI

Heres the new values I calculated from my logs today

And here's a graphic comparison of the 2 (dont mind the spike, its due to a turbo spike, which causes IQ to spike as well)

Next mission will be tackling my boost spike ;)
I made a new N75 map with a 50mg column and see how that goes...
Also my target boost wasnt really realistic low down, which caused the wastegate/N75 to go to the fully closed position, most likely causing the overshoot.
So I also lowered my request, to meet the actual I was making before...
Hopefully test that one out tomorrow :D

I do get a temp related problem after a couple of WOT runs tho...
It starts saying engine temp high but both coolant and oil temperatures dont go any higher, but the coolant needle jumps to the max during the error.
I'm guessing its fuel temperature, which goes as high as 84°C...

Took the car out for a wheigh in today...
1360kg without driver and an empty gastank... :D
*shocked*
Will need to recalibrate my torque pro app, which showed 111hp at the wheels last time... :D

Since I've pretty much maxed out my injectors now, there aint much left to do...
Still need to smoothen out my boostspike tho...

But I've taken up some sidequests now :D

I extended my MAP sensor range and it was able to record 2550mbar now, where it would top of at 2450mbar before :D

Also tried to disable the EGR and TVA using the AirCtl_swGov.
CEL didnt light up yet and no sign of limp so far after a 1 hour drive with the EGR and TVA unplugged, but I do have about 5 stored fault codes...
Gonna drive it unplugged until the CEL lights up

So tonight was the very first time I had a go at resolving my boostspike...

First I reworked my N75 setpoint map a little in the way I believed it would be alright.
Second I disabled everything PID related in the section of the boostcontrol.
Third was uploading and datalogging...

This first screenpic is the graph of a 4th gear WOT

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/26/c75b8e2a899c2f2c60debd77c13a452b.jpg

The second one is a 5th gear run

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/26/5b5a49e9bf0cba3f61f34a206d15621e.jpg

This looked fairly good, for the first try...

Now I am getting maf reading upwards of 1000mg/str from 1900rpm all the way up to 3500rpm and its very very smooth!
IQ's go up till 63mg/str between 2400 and 2700rpm with afr's at 17/1!!!
The MAF is maxing out at 1100mg/stroke from 2450 to 2750rpm, so might need to invest in a new one :D

Peak boost is 2450mbar at 2600rpm at the minute...

Think I'm not going to swith the PIDs back on :D

I just had to lower and raise some setpoints and now I'll have to wait for the next chance of doing some logs ;)

Then I'll look into squizing some more boost from this turbo, as I extended the range of the MAP sensor a bit, would be intersting to see the results, but will involve quite a bit more testing...
