Passat b5 1.9AVF

Postby g3shabace » Sat Jun 11, 2016 8:20 pm

Hello,

Here is the remaped ecu file I made with understandigs that I have for the moment.
Hope that the experiaced people here will point the mistakes I made so I can learn better.
The file is in my car for 2 weeks now, i can feel some more power, and overall a bit better driving style, but still feel that shoud give
a bit more. Maybe I'm missing some limiters?

The car is VW Passat b5 2004 1.9tdi AVF Automatik
I've used VAGSuite for the remap as it really helps with the map discovery, but i'm bilding a map pack for WinOls at the momment.

Sorry for my english!

hey mata.

i dont will be shy ;) this is not good mod, i think almost all maps are copy past from other file. In your Tl your request is 65 mg but you dont get this IQ because your duration maps are calibrated only to 60 mg. it is not enough change axis in duration map. you must add new axis and calculate all values in map.

cheers

maki4evers, take a look at this file again and you will see that duration maps are extrapolated. I think you need to adjust turbo map, because you heaven't enough air at 50 to 60 mg range axis. I don't know what is with your duty cycle map. It is hard modified at all . You did some logs and set this map? Anyway the mod is good. There are some professional modified files at forum that are much worse then yours.

N75 was my mistake. I tried to play a bit safe with turbo because this is my dayli driver and it is far from a new car. If u have the time I'll like to hear your appenium how far can i go on the safe side.

Yes, in fact, you reduce the pressure turbo at 50 to 60mg IQ on x axis at boost target map. Look at this place at your stock map. You can leave the x axis stock at boost target map (quickest way), or do some calculation and correct all this map.

I see. Thx for the tip, when i was extanding the map and transfering the old values I have not incresed the values, stupid mistake.
Now I'll make new file and test on the car.
