Passat 3B5 PD130 Map [038906019EP]

Postby djekl » Sun Jul 17, 2016 6:17 pm

Hey, so after looking into mapping for a few years I finally have a project car to play with. However this was the map I pulled off of the "Economy Tuned" Passat. This is far from an Economy tune, and the torque map flat lines far too early, and I think the Boost maps are turned up too high.

Anyways I would like some advice on this map, maybe if anyone wants to have a play with it, smoothing it out etc. It comes off of an 038906019EP ECU, and like I said, any advice/help would be appreciated.

the boost isn't to high for the car, but this map is just shit. this is what you call a 5 min tune. best is to start from scratch.

Thanks, I should have known with only getting 30MPG avg even on motorway.

Any suggestions on where to start? Tutorials, reading material etc.

If you can hold it down to 110 km/h on the highway/motorway, you should be able to do 52-53 MPG (18,5-19 km/l) on this engine, if the map is nice in the low- and midzone + combining it with adjustment of the timing belt to be slight positive.

OK so after some reading, and looking at my Friends PD130 tune (different ECU). I have made this file, before I put it on what do you guys think? I used a standard base map to begin with, and made changes to the following

- EGR (delete)
- Driver Wish
- Smoke Limiter
- Boost Target Map

I don't believe I missed anything.

What would I change to increase the durations from 55mg? The injection duration?

Also, the 4x4 map is default. I have only modified the 1st code block (manual).

I would be interested to see what modifications you would make to this map if possible?
