Opel EDC16C9 - few options

Postby Homiczek » Tue Nov 26, 2013 1:03 pm

Hi

I modyfied some EDC15p, and now is time to demolish  some EDC16C9 - friend opel vectra 1.9cdti.

by MPPS

I have few questions:
1. What to do, when flashing will stop e.g. at 60% - only BDM ?

2. correct cheksum or not ? someone on foum says - 'dont correct checksums ! ' ???

3. I thing in flash is something like VIN code (each .bin have diffrent), and someone on internet says, that in processor is there VIN too, and ecu compare this. In processor internal rom ???

4. Ecu can block itself ?? when flash with wrong vin or wrong checksums ??

Sorry for my english :)

The very best thing and way :D is .... use only BDM and make a backup.
If you already flash and it stop , than you really demolish  if dont have a backup.
Checksum must be correct.
VIN , your chasiss number.

Thanks fo reply :)

I already bought 2 ecu's, a i have made interface obd :)

So i can do some mistakes, and i will find out, what will be when checksum will be bad etc.

Its interesting becouse one ecu has software version from newer ecu - not update!!
sticker on ecu have different number than software...
