New VAG enthusiast

Postby weijie » Fri Feb 14, 2014 3:26 am

ey guys, i've been around VAG cars for the past 7 years and i've always come across the war between hardwares and softwares. Whenever there is a problem with the car, the hard side will push it over to the soft side and vice versa. After the mk5 gti, s3 8p, im now on the mk6 golf r20.

I've been troubleshooting my cars via vagcom for the past 4yrs and im now ready to touch on the ECU portion. Knowing that its MED9.1, im sure its widely discussed so i'll hope to pick up a few pointers here and get a full picture before attempting to write anything on the ECU.

Any idea where would be a good starting point?

Welcome weijie,

It seems we have the same interest in learning more about flashing the MED9.1 [well I guess that's the easier part ... the harder part is correctly editing the right maps].

There is much to be learned ...
