Hello! Long-time BMW tech, but dipping my feet into the world of the electronics behind the scene now in an effort to keep the cars repairable instead of disposable. Looking into things like SCR Resets after reaching 0 miles and both resets done to continue diagnosis/repair WITHOUT disabling the system completely, restoring Tricore data on BMW BEV/PHEV control modules that get corrupted and stop communicating with the cars, etc. I have accumulated some failed modules that we replaced the parts on that I can experiment/test things with, but are increasingly finding this totals out the vehicle and is not good for the customers; or for us as technicians/shops.
My current experience includes BMW FRM recovery, DME data dumps for remapping after installing superchargers, etc. Also includes tinkering in the field of hash decrypting for things like Bitlocked computers that need data recovered, etc.
