Hi all,

I am Sander, 28, from the Netherlands, my English might contain some flaws, please excuse that.
I'm an enthousiastic hobbyist when it comes to my Alfa Romeo 156 1.9 JTD 8v euro 3.

My clutch gave out and I found a smf and clutch kit as a replacement.

I've been advised to at least increase the idle rpm and that's what lead me here.

I have no experience with tuning, but I think I have a grasp of the general proces (read, edit, checksum, write).

I have Winols, ordered an Galletto 2 and have a spare ecu to experiment with.

I saw at least one general guide on the edc15 here on ecuedit, so I'm going to read that, along with the topics in the hope to gradually learn more about ecu editing.

The first steppingstone is to increase rpm (now with airco off 850rpm, airco on 900rpm, want to increase both to 910 or 920 (what works best, will have to test that).

If and when I learn the basics, maybe I can remove the egr too, the hardware is long gone but there is a dtc. Not illuminating the MIL but when it's gone it's neater.

I'm not interested in tuning the ecu yet, I feel I have way too much to learn, all in good time.

So expect a lot of questions and ultimately I hope I'll be able to awnser some too!

With regards,

Sander.
