My first tune, just checking...

Postby SteveMcSteve21 » Wed Dec 17, 2014 3:11 am

Hi all,

I have been finding and naming my maps of my 2.0 HDI Peugeot 306, EDC15 ecu.

I have found and named/labelled/worked out factors for lots of maps (more than I think I need at the min!)

My question is what maps do I need to give a mild increase in power, I believe I need to adjust IQ limiter x2, Torque limiter, Smoke limiter, Drivers wish x2 and maybe SOI ?

Am I right? I don't want to jump in the deep end and adjust more than I have to too start with as I am newbie :?

Cheers
Steve

These parameters are obvious to increase, I think it's no so simple to do it just like match x2 and done. Do you have acces to dyno? also check this forum to find some configurations of your engine computer. I'm new here also but sure u find some maps here.

thanks for the reply, I already have the most important maps to learn with I believe? just making sure I am going to change the correct maps before I do it.

Hi there, i just started few weeks ago with my bora tdi 1.9 110.

I would recommend to first read the ecu of your car and compare that with a tuned file....
there is a lot of crap out there and wrong values will easily damage your motor.
what i did was looking at youtube videos of this guy.

https://sites.google.com/site/vagecumap/home

watch it several times :)... once you begin to understand it then go ahead and change values....
make sure to have a backup of your default ecu. As i said i would work only with the ecu that you downloaded from you own car.
