just bought a mini cooper s off a friend cheap because he tryed to flash the ecu with wrong software and hasnt saved the original software how would i go arounds repairing the ecu? i have k-tag but cannot find an original file

What ECU, Software & Hardware numbers are you looking for?
Most tools have a recovery mode, if not use BDM/Bootmode

not sure what hes used tbh but the car wont start at all only info ive got are these. correct are the details of the ecu & wrong are what he has flashed on the ecu

Yes, but what ECU is it? can you post a picture of the sticker?

ECU Siemens EMS2000, Mini Cooper S 163hp, year 2002.
I can send you the right sw for your car, but must write in boot mode.Car will start perfect.
