Hi
Can anyone give any advice with the following problem.
I tried to remove the DPF (ECU only) using a volta processed binary for a Mercedes c200 2200 w203 EDC16 C2 engine.
When the file was being flashed (MPPS) the dash console indicated various DTC type errors including coolant level, coolant temperature - stop engine and various other errors (no errors in ECU before flashing).
The flash process completed successfully with MPPS as normal to 100% with the usual "turn off the ignition and wait 5 seconds" etc.
The cooling fans did not run and everything seemed OK until trying to start the engine.
When trying to start the car there was just a heavy click/jolt as if the starter motor is engaging but nothing more. The engine would not turn over at all.
The car was flashed back to original (fans running all the time as if the flash had failed previously) without any problem and engine started as normal.
I realise that Volta is not preferred choice for preofessional tuners who have access to swiftec and/or specific damos files but could anyone give any specific insight to this problem. I would not have been surprised if the processing deleted more DTS than necessary or had needlessly zeroed post injection maps etc but was a little surprised that the car would not even turn over.
Is this imobiliser related?
I attach original, Volta processed and checksummed files for comparison.
Thanks
