Maximum time allowed for regeneration

All about how to remove FAP and DPF filters

Maximum time allowed for regeneration

Postby Hneel » Tue Apr 19, 2016 1:19 pm

I was just browsing an EDC16C39 damos file when I saw this single value field:

Maximum time allowed for regeneration (PFlt_tiRgnMax_C)

It was set at 1200 seconds (20 minutes)

What if you changed it to zero? Would that work?

I haven't removed my own dpf yet, and also I have no indication if dpf is active or not. So I can't try iy myself yet.

hello,
this won't be a solution. You need to prevent that ECU even starts regeneration in several different conditions,
in this sample ECU would still make start of regeneration but it would fail - on diagnostic tool you will have "Interrupted regeneration"
and ECU would not work properly.

Here is a strange one.

BMW 335d E90 I was going through Damos and looking at all the different values of 330d and 320d etc and I found that Pflt_tiRgnMax_C is set to 0 already. Also I noticed that the maximum fuel quantity table for post injection is also set to 0. This doesn't make sense to me, I Checked to make sure I definitely had ori file and it's 100% accurate. So the vehicle has a DPF, but post injected quantity is limited to 0 and also Regen time is limited to 0. Can someone explain what is going on, I feel a bit stupid because as far as I understand it the DPF isn't even in use
