Map tuning

Postby scoppack » Thu Jul 10, 2014 6:06 pm

Hi could someone have a look at what I have been doing over the past month or so.
I have found a load of maps (multiple drivers, multiple boost, etc), but have only included a handful to see if I am on the right track.
I want more power (but not a lot), but want to increase driveability and maybe increase mpg a little.
I have to admit, I have no idea about the lambda map yet. Thats the next few weeks research!
Everything I have learnt so far has been online. So thank you everyone for the info, it IS out there, but you do have to look and understand.

A question I have, is...... on the boost map I am finding different opinions on the x-axis. Is it IQ, or Nm??
And if it is IQ, is it neccessary to relabel, or just have the max '2500' from 39 onwards?

For any of the maps, is a max figure better on the final column, or a gradual increase over a few as I have done?

Any help at this point would be helpful. I haven't tried it on the car yet and have to say a little scared, but have enjoyed researching this topic and would love to take the car further. Just looking for a 'thats not bad. keep at it' or have you tried.....'
I didnt want to come here with nothing to show. So please be nice
