Leon in 'Safe' mode

Postby arnie_wilson » Fri Jan 18, 2013 2:18 am

Hi there, i am new to this..I managed to copy a friends remap that a local company did for him. It came out of a Jetta ECU number 'EDC16U34' and i tried to put it into a Seat leon, ECU Number 'EDC16U31'

I know the ECU numbers dont match but as they are the same engine i thought it would of been worth a try, clearly not an have learn't from the mistake. The MPPS Software will not let me remove the Jetta map from it and i am now unsure on what to do as the car will not start obviously.

Does the ECU need taken out of the Leon and looked at by a specialist? Any help is greatly appreciated

Arnie

If you cant read the bin then the ecu is blocked. Try to find better flasher or do a BDM read of the ecu.

you have written a wrong software in your ecu . EDC16U31/34 obd readout is only 512K this is only a part .

two ways:

1.Byteshooter or CMD
2.BDM
