Lancia Phedra 2.2D JTD - ECM upgrade

Hello

I need to do upgrade of ENGINE CONTROL MODULE on LANCIA PHEDRA 2.2D JTD ENGINE CODE:4HW because I have this problem:

PROBLEM:
- Engine malfunction indicator lamp(MIL) illuminated
- Trouble code stored: P0401
- Poor engine performance

CAUSE:
- Engine control module (ECM) softweare fault

I have no other faults and I need to reprogram engine control module (ECM) with upgraded software.

I need to know whitch hardware and software and files I need to do an upgrade?

Is the ECU and ECM the same thing?

ECU (Electronic Control Unit)
PO 401 EGR FLOW INSUFFICIENT
I need your firmware ECM.

This is most likely the original MPPS.
v.13 was a copy from China. I use v.13 suits me.

Now I have this MPPS v16 but when I connect it to my car and I select my car ECU and try to read ECU ID I get an error "ECU not found"

Please help
