Ktag file format (newbie question warning)

Software used for ECU editing

Ktag file format (newbie question warning)

Postby jupet » Wed Feb 09, 2022 6:00 pm

Hello

I need some modifications to VAG 2.0 TDI (CAGA) ecu for special use. Everything unnecessary (EGR, immobilizer, DPF, transmission...) will be removed and some general "good power and economy" map should be installed. (If someone has interest in creating such file for me to flash I am interested and your troubles will be rewarded)

The question itself: I can probably get access to ktag (clone) for reading/writing the ecu. Does ktag make and take in files compatible with winols etc commonly used software packages tuners use, or should I seek access to some other reader/writer to make this easier?

All tools create data layout from MCU in bin format. It is universal not adhered to any editing tool including WinOLS. About chine clones - well it is on your risk.
