Is my file standard? If so, can I safely hit 210hp and DPF/

Postby amk2vr6 » Sun Jun 22, 2014 6:41 pm

Hi,

I have recently looked into stopping the MIL from indicating after fitting an EGR blanking plate.

After asking for help on another forum, someone has suggested that my file is standard! Could anyone have a look please, and confirm or deny this?

I don't have a standard file to compare to, and I'm still learning my way around Winols so would like someone thats knows what they are doing. Smile

If it is standard, can anyone please remap to around 210hp/310lbft safely, and delete DPF and EGR too?

Thanks, Tony.

Edit/ apologies mods if this is in the wrong section.

What car is this file from? (I can't download your attachments yet)

For many cars there are stock files on the internet. Googleing using your ECU part number usually works best.
You can then use almost any hex editor (like XVI32) to compare your file to the original.
If there are differences your file is not stock.

Your file is stock compared to the file I found for your car:

Also another confirmation by me- file is more than 100 % stock.
