Is my ECU EDC15C3 dead?

Postby krzakx » Mon May 25, 2015 12:47 pm

Hello everyone!
I have an ECU from Renault Master 2.5 DCI with 29F400 and I wanted to do reading on test bench, so I connected like on the picture.

But on my laboratort DC power supply there is all the time 0.00A...
I already have checked and connections and from pins to the PCB are good. What I making wrong?

Is the power connected to your tool also or only from power supply to ecu pins?

Thank you for your reply teme69
Yes of course, I am also powering up my tool which is CTC.
With my tool the current is 0.4A
Without my tool (only ECU) current is 0A

That scheme Reno 15C2, but I'm not sure. Check. Minus should ring circuit to the body control unit.
Connector 1:
A4 Can L
B4 Can H
C3 K-line

Connector 2:
E3 +12v
L3 GND
L4 GND
M2 +12v
M3 +12v
M4 GND

You use wrong pinout. Whay you decide EDC15C2 from Citroen is the same as EDC15C3 from Renault?
Be carefull, you can damage the ecu with wrong connection.
Right pinout for EDC15C3 is:
2015-05-26_111432.gif
2015-05-26_111513.gif
2015-05-26_111539.gif

This pinout for vdiag 08. For vdiag 10 and more pinout have same diffs, but power and diagnostic pins not changed. I have only Russian docs for vdiag 10-14.
