iq adjusting by hammer mode and turbo boosting

Postby mineff » Mon Mar 24, 2014 4:29 pm

Hello guys, i need your advice about what i think to do... It is to hammer mode the pump to adjust the IQ to 2.2 or 2.4mg/r and changing only boost target map to 2150mbar. Im now driving the car at 2.6mg/r with stock boost 2050mbar. Will this increase a lilttle the power and lowing the consumption? The car is Golf MK4 2001 110hp.
Thank you very much!

Have you checked your emission temp?

More Air = hotter emission , as far as i know..

It could demage the turbo.

More air per given fuel quantity is LOWER EGT but more NOx emissions. More fuel (or less air) is higher EGT and more CO and carbon emissions. More air and fuel could be cooler or hotter EGT depending on the AFR and a few other factors.

Oh really? Okay than it should be no problem.

But it also depends on injection timing or?

Also can someone explain "hammer mode" ?
