Improperly disabled DPF

Postby Chris352 » Mon Jun 06, 2022 8:07 pm

I'm having issues with my 2012 seat ibiza 6j 1.6 tdi. It's showing no error codes for anything. However, it's also showing 0 mg measured and calculated soot values on the DPF which seems unlikely. People who have looked at the map the car came with say the DPF has not been deleted but some of the associated DTC error codes have been disabled. The car hasn't done a regeneration in 21,000 miles as far as it reports across VCDS. It is showing 40 grams of accumulated oil ash though.
The DPF is physically present. I even removed a sensor from the top to check it hadn't been secretly drilled though.
Has anyone heard of someone disabling the DPF in this fashion? Any thoughts on the subject would be gratefully appreciated as would anyone who can help me find the original map for this car so I can try and get the changes reversed. Thanks.
p.s the car seems to drive fine at the moment but I'm worried about what could happen in the future.
