If I turn off DPF and EGR, do I need a blanking plate?

If I turn off the DPF and the EGR, do I still need to blank off the EGR? I would have thought that if the EGR is disabled, then it would effectively blank itself off. Or does the EGR off function not actually disable the EGR?

After doing some reading mate, most advise to blank it off anyway. It's only a couple of quid off ebay and saves the egr from a good scrubbing just incase you need to reactivate it after some new crazy emission regulations that come into your country in the future.

Thanks Sam. All blanked off now. £3.95 on eBay and dead easy to fit. Just need to attend to the DPF now.
