Found another one - Engine Management: Advance Tuning by Greg Banish.
Remember that I'm newbe - will I understand it?

Thanks,
Mariusz

Hi guys,
I've got quite a lot experience in coding and diagnosing BMW's but never had anything to do with remaping.
I spent some time reading this forum and I'm starting to understand how it works.

Tomorrow I'm going to read ECU in my van - Citroen Relay (aka Jumper) 2.2hdi 2004 and start working on the maps.
First thing I'd like to do is switch EGR off and then modify maps to make it more fuel efficient.
I know it won't be easy but I don't want anyone to do it for me, all I would need is some guidance if you don't mind.

Cheers,
Mariusz

Hi,

For me there is too much information in that book (How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems Book). Don't like such books where e.g. every little sensor is described over one or two pages (and that pages are fully packed). And very often you will find the same information xx times in the book - that su..s!

I like books where you can see that the writer knows how to come to the point and in most cases that showes me that he/she knows what he/she is writing about. Just to pick up all possible information related to the parts/topics described and throw them in is not my preferred style :)

cheers
