How to recognize k line

Postby Vyrax » Mon Sep 17, 2018 9:43 pm

Hello, maybe some one knows how to recognize k-line pin on ecu if pinout is not available? How to find that pin?
And it is posibility to flash AM29F400BT without desoldering? Which pins need to use, maybe someone can advise?

Hi Vyrax,

What type of vehicle and ECU is it?

I know the Volvo ME7 bosch ECU with 29F400 and 29F800 eproms can read and write by putting into boot mode by holding pin 24 to ground on power up.

There is some info here http://the-me7-project.wikia.com/wiki/C ... _stock_ECU

I have used Kess V2 to read from the K-line the bin file from a spare ECU I have.

Cheers,

David.

Hello dceng888, I have found boot mode pin, just checked with circuit tester and found pin in ECU connector that connected to 24pin of AM29F400BT, but the main problem that i cannot found k line pin, and i dont know how to recognize him. This ecu uses CAN, but i know that it can be read tgrought K line in boot mode, i have used bosch esitronic and other software, but K line is not marked, also as BOOT pin in connector. Processor of ecu is infineon SAK167CS. As i understand if main ecu proccesor is SAK167CS, k line data must came from processor, but how to find out what pin of processor is responsible?maybe some one have ideas? :?
