How to know if the ECU Firmware has been changed?

Postby Simple » Wed Jul 16, 2014 12:34 pm

I bought my Citroen C8 2.0 HDi few years back, I did not know anything about DPF. I called the dealer who informed me that my car comes equipped with one, but I never got a message to top-up the Eolys fluid.

I suspect the DPF has been removed and/or the warning has been silenced in the ECU. How to know?

Simple.

Hi!
Perhaps enough to make the diagnosis of car.
Or read the firmware and compare with original.
Regards.

Where would I get the original file and what tool should I use to compare it?
