how ecu work?

Postby morteza.mojarradi » Thu Jul 17, 2014 9:21 pm

hello every one
i' am mechanical engineering student and i have worked with electrical systems several times now i want to know about ecu and if it will be possible i would design my own engine control unit , i know how can i work with sensors and how can i design electronic board based on micro controller and micro Microprocessors but my problem is how can i use the out put of sensors for controlling ignitions for example
in ecu we have these sensors
1.rpm sensors
2.oxygen sensors
3.car speed sensors
4.throttle sensor
5.water temperature sensor
6.knock sensors
7.camshaft sensor
8.MAP
HOW CAN I USE THESE INFORMATION FOR DETERMINING THE IGNITION TIME?

its serveral years of bosch, siemens, etc. engineers expierience....

each generation of diesel gives more maps, more controling, more limiting, more problems...

U should read few book of engine contructing and learn how its work.

Maybe find and read Tuning guides will short this 40-50 years...

You could start with something simple like cabrurator - give Ignition on TDC ( tdc from camshaft sensor)

sorry bu i dont read any concrete books about engines. Maybe something like 'petrol engines' or 'diesel engines'

You are mechanical engineering student. and i think u will have subject about engines, or proffesors for ask.

but about tuning guides u could google-ing 'tuning guide edc' and u find some guides for diesel and also for petrol motronic etc
