Hello everyone,

my name is Peter and I'm a huge Volvo fan and DIY guy.
First time I fiddled with ECUs was few years ago, when I modified the motronic 4.3 in my 850 T5. On the dyno it made 274whp and a bit over 400Nm of torques. Fuel consumption wasn't bad either! It was based on a RICA tune from a questionable source. I didn't use the bin file as is, I used it as a guidance only, didn't trust it.
LAter I swapped the 850 T5 engine into a Volvo 960, which was fun and required a standalone management. I used VEMS. It was fun, but gave me a lot of headaches.
I got bored of the 960, so I bought a Volvo 940 station wagon and put a T5 engine in there as well... I know I have a problem :D
This time I didn't go with VEMS, I used a newer Motronic 4.4. The code was changed to run coil on plug ignition (stock is distributor), I didn't do that, I bought a modified bin file.
Now I'm saving money to buy an Ostrich 2.0 to make the tuning of the m4.4 a lot easier and tune it fit my hardware.

Also in the meantime I need a reliable DD... so I'm on the hunt for a Alfa Romeo 159 2.4jtd... I know, I know... but they are beautiful.
Of course I won't leave it alone, first thing to do will be EGR block off and DPF removal. Both requires a remap. I plan to do this DIY style, so I'm on the hunt for DAMOS files and stock bins.
