Hi from Belgium

Postby postbus24 » Tue Apr 22, 2014 3:51 pm

Hi all , my name is Bart and I'm curious about ECU remapping in general.

I have BMW e39 530d which has limited power reduction to 160bhp for tax reasons in our country but I would like the original 184bhp.
Hopefully I find some interesting info over here.

regards,
Bart

From what I understand, the BMW use quite an extensive write protection, and you'll be unable to perform any kind of tuning on those without official tools and support from reputeable companies....
but I never tried, so cant be sure...
anyways, good luck ;)

Oh...
I just read your other post.
And I saw your BMW is a 99, so disregard my last message...
I dont know if it can be read through obd tho, is it an edc15 ecu?
