Dear all,
I am located in Vienna, Austria. My current car is a MB E280CDI (3.2) 2005. This ones quite rare and was produced only 1,5 Years, they needed a successor to the 270CDI (5Cyl). So they just downtuned a 320CDI and named it 280CDI. Horses were 204 downgraded to 177. Obviously a good idea to tune it up to the 320CDI performance again.
When I bought mine, it was "chipped" already. Performance was good, but it felt like Pedal-tuned. I learned in the past days, that this must have come from a "too sporty" tuned Drivers Wish.
Anyway, I got a "Xentry Star Diagnosis", to get rid of the belt beep, and DVD Playing while driving and so on. While fiddling around, I did an "compression test". What I did not know, The SD flashed the ECU to 0 Injection (for the test) and than flashed back the original file, of course not the tuned one!
So my mission is, tune it back to 320CDI performance. I bought an MPPS V12 Flasher from Ebay. Guess I need balls of steel when flashing. If anyone has hints where to get good flashing hardware for a reasonable price, that would be wonderful.
In the meantime, I'm trying to learn locating the important maps for an EDC16 280CDI......
Best Regards - Clemens
