Hi everyone,
been a mechanic for 5 years qualified at level 3 so I'm reasonable with a spanner, I think I have a reasonable understanding of how things work and hope this will help me learn effectively the art of ECU tuning, my main field at work is BMW as its a brand I love so most of my knowledge is of them.

I recently start to help out a friend who is a remapper, he has many item of hardware/software such as kess v2 and CMD but to be honest doesn't actually alter the maps in-house, he purchases his maps from a 3rd party company who claim to have 25 years experience in map development, we've not had any problems with their maps which is good but map editing is a skill I've always wanted to understand and have the ability to do so here I am, hoping to learn from reading info on this forum and contribute where I can and if I can help others within this forum then that's a bonus.

I'm in the process of watching/studying videos posted on youtube by vagecumap which should give me a good starting point and I've downloaded a test version of winOLS to practice on, my mate has a good database of stock and tuned maps which I can use to learn from and also anyother maps I find online will help to see the differences.

It's all pretty exciting and very interesting :D
