Hello from Germany / Enthusiastic Tuner Diving into Simos 18

Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself to this great community. My name is Damon, I'm from Germany, and I daily drive an Audi A3 2.0 TFSI.
Lately, I’ve been getting deeply fascinated by the software side of our cars, specifically the Continental Simos 18.1 ECU and DSG calibration. I am working with a KESS3 and ECM Titanium, and I recently got my hands on the official 27,000-page function framework documentation (Funktionsrahmen) to really understand how this ECU "thinks" under the hood.
My current project is a complete retrofitting of the exhaust flaps on my A3 (similar to the Audi S3 system), which involves finding the right calibration switches and maps to map them correctly to my original file structure.
I joined this forum to expand my knowledge, exchange experiences with like-minded people, and hopefully contribute to the community as I learn more along the way.
Looking forward to some great technical discussions!
Best regards,
Damon
