Hello from England

Postby Stlymch » Wed Feb 12, 2014 7:22 pm

Hi all,

I live in england and I am on a mission to improve the fuel economy of my 2006 1.3 Multijet Fiat Grande Punto to save £££.
I'm currently getting average of 65 uk mpg tank-2-tank, which is certainly good for this country and is probably as good as is possible without modifications. I'm new to ECU's but I am an electronic engineer by day so i hope to pick things up quickly.
I've joined this forum with the hope that some of you guys/gals will be able to help me with a couple of ECU related questions/problems.
1. I would like to know of a low cost tool to use to reflash the ECU in my car
2. I would like to turn off the EGR (already blanked but little yellow light is quite annoying)
3. I would also like to tinker with the air, fuel, turbo and torque maps to see if its possible to reduce fuel consumption further.

If you can offer any help with the above, please get in touch. Please help me to learn
