Introducing myself......feels a bit like a dating site. Though I suspect that what I'm going to write here won't get me many dates. I trained as a mechanic back in the nineties, then got out of the trade because of all of the untouchable black boxes that were appearing then. Ended up spending years designing and making black boxes for a totally different industry. Now looking to renew my acquaintance with automotive technology. Really like the look of this forum, because, unlike so many others, thinking and reasoning are encouraged.
Although I'm now a reasonably proficient hardware and firmware engineer, I am starting from zero as far as automotive electronics goes, so please forgive the occasional dumb question. I'll try to keep them to a minimum.
