Hello from Brittany (France)

Postby JOE56570 » Sat May 11, 2013 4:10 pm

I'm in Brittany (France), on the south coast of Britain, the country of sailing.
I have a Citroen C5 V6 3.0l 24v 210HP and I am equipped with Diagbox V7.10 and soon with Galletto V2.
I want to share experiences on Bosch ECU programming, especially on ME7.4.6 which we only speak on this site!
Excuse my bad English.
A big hello to all

Hi JOE56570,

I Have a 407 V6 3.0l with ECU Bosch ME7.4.7 . It should be similar to your C5 V6.
One question for you, does the KESS or any other tool can read EEPROM/flash of engine ECU?

I tried KESS V2. When I did the READ function, it shown file wrong or obsolete. so I don't know that is problem of KESS V2 or ME7.4.7

regards

Careful, it's a possibility you have ES9A (215), ME7.4.7, the C5 here have an ES9J4S, with ME7.4.6

In the 406, with transition of multiplex (VAN or CAN bus), access seems to change...

Dear titi65,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it's ES9A. I want to test the READ function first.
Is there a correct tool to read/write ECU of ES9A ME7.4.7?
I saw KESS V2 OBD support list, there is a ME7.4.7 for C5. I tried it to READ 407, but same reply. file wrong or obsolete.
Any suggestion?

For now, no idea.

My ES9J4S is remapped for E85 by a tunner, and his tool (Kess I think) wasn't able to access via ODB plug.

It has been reprog via EEPROM directly (desoldering/resoldering).

Dear titi65,

Okay, probably only can be done by boot mode or something. I will keep searching some information.
Thanks anyway.

Kenny

He tell to me he've done a 607 (Peugeot) and a Renault VelSatis (or Espace, don't remember), and he used the odb plug...

I'm question myself if MUX (so CAN acces) sould not be enabled ?

If it's so simple, the PP2000 can do that, but the BSI couldn't communicate with ECU...not sure.
