My background is automotive as I studied mechanical engineering, and currently working in the heavy duty diesel R&D environment. I love Italian cars and I own two very lovely alfa romeo 147 jtd's. One is a 8v jtd 115hp 3doors, while the other is the more fast 16v 150hp diesel 5doors. I do all my maintenance and repairs myself, and the next job I need to handle is cleaning my air intake of my 16v jtd. The swirl flaps are worn and blocked due to soot and carbon built up caused by the Egr. So, the next thing I would love to do myself is discovering how to disable my Egr so that after cleaning and modding my inlet by removing the flaps it will no longer get polluted. Future plans are getting knowledge of how to remap my car. Greetings from alfa_jtd
