Hello from Belgium

Postby sparco » Tue Dec 31, 2013 3:47 pm

Hi, my name is Mathias, I am currently 26 years old, been into chiptuning a little over 4 years now.
I started researching chiptuning by the soul purpose of tuning my 1.6HDi90 with an EDC16C34 ECU...
I started off by buying a clone tool from a very friendly chap, who learnt me the very basics.
Then, in 2009, I joined chiptuners.org, where I learnt some more, though they aren't very welcoming to newcomers :?
Somewhere around the start of 2010 I was able to download a flash dump of my mates 1.6HDi110, and turned out it was tuned badly by a Belgian company, it broke is VGT, DPF and DPF all in about 1 month (a couple months after the remap, but still was a horrible map!)
After a while I lost interest in chiptuning for a bit...
I then purchased a file from a well known Belgian tuner, somewhere in the end of 2011 and played around with that one a bit...
And I joined ecuconnections.com in july 2012, where I learnt a ton of new stuff...
Still need to learn more about this, and someone sent me a PM, telling me there were some really knowledgeable guys over here, when it comes to common rail engines, so here I am...
Hope I can contribute to the forum, as well as learn some good stuff...
