G'day from Down Under

Postby The Silent Shout » Mon May 12, 2014 7:33 pm

Hey all

Its good to find a forum dedicated to a chip tuning community.

Hoping to gather information to help me along with my project.

My goal is to be able to tune the Simtec70 in my Barina SRI (Corsa C for all you euro folks )

So far I have managed to interface with the ecu through the OBD2 port and obtain the bin file (raw data)

Now to attemt to dissassemble it etc, If anyone has delt with the Simtec70 (or most other opels for that matter) feel free to point me in the right direction, or alternatively if anyone can give me advice on obatining the Damos file that would be even better

Nice to meet you all

All the best

Rick

Never tried this before but some guys told me about KWP2000plus interface that does handle it. True?

Long time no post :)

for the past year ive been learning hex code etc to try and crack this ECU and I have a thread about it on a local forum here:

http://www.opelaus.com/forums/showthread.php?37929-The-Great-ECU-Hack-Project

You should be able to view it without signing up,

Basically the trouble im having with this particular ecu is the axis data isnt located where the maps are. This means its hard to determine what the maps are just by looking at the figures.

Basically the ecu works as such:

Map is located in position X

Map x axis data is located in position far away

And map Y axis data is located in position different from x

It gets quite confusing, but ive made some sort of progress. Im currently making an XDF for use in tunerpro however its very very far from complete. Once im able to post files ill upload it as well as the original bin file and see if anyone can help me decypher it, or hopefully someone already has.
