Ford Focus 2.0 16v Duratec - EEC-VI

Postby auttomotive » Tue Oct 20, 2015 1:08 pm

Hello

Vehicle data:

Ford Focus 2.0 16v Duratec Petrol, manual

Year: 2006/2007

ECU:
EEC- VI

Reading/writing method:
Kess V2

Read process was ok, fast and no corrupted data.

The problems begun when trying to write the file on it.

Battery voltage was oscilating at 12,5 to 11,9 volts (by kess PC interface reading)

I started to write the ECU, kess procedure shows that first it will delete the files and then after will write on.

Delete was ok, but right after this procedure kess started to write and immediately show an ERROR message, write error.

No way to up the original file to the ECU.

1- Does anyone ever made this type of car/ECU?

2- Does anyone with Kess made this type of car/ECU?

3-Battery Voltage was a problem?

I sent the ECU to a friend, and the answer was...processor is dead!

Any ideas?

Relly sorry for your problem

I dont Know if error is caused directly by VOLTAGE

But seems your Ecu is bricked in BLANK...

I dont think processor is dead, simply your ecu need to restore ORI .

If you have good dump you will need to buy a used one same reference..

Even with it you can restore ORIGINAL....

But always in bench and with a good power source ESTABILIZED!!

We need working safe ALWAYS

There are places who do ECU recovery which could save you from buying a new one.

if you have a kess read, you can use it to recover the ecu. just use the recovery tool from kess menu , after selecting the right protocol.
i have on advice to yo that will keep you away from this type off prpblems :
every time i write back to car, no mather the ecu type , i use kess recovery option. its safe . sometimes, when i use write option, i get errors, but when i use recovey option,it works like a charm. have no ideea why
