Ford Fiesta 1.4 tdci DPF off

Postby tinky436 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 11:29 pm

Hi all im new here and a total beginer with mapping etc.
Messed about with cars for years but always stayed away from modern cars unless mechanical repairs etc but want to get into the ecu side of things.
I share a workshop as a hobby with a couple of friends with various projects on the go which i wont bore you with unless anyone is interested.
One of the friends has a fiesta 1.4 tdci 06 model i think and we want to remove the dpf. We want to do this manually rather than something like ecusafe due to bad comments ive read about etc. I know you have to pull the map from the ecu then change it using something like winols but wouldnt know what needs changing. Will the items be listed in winols ? Is there any books i can get explaining values that need to be changed etc as i seem to be going in circles at the moment on how to go about this. Also does anybody have a map they can send me for any vehicle just to open up in winols demo to get an idea of what im actually looking for. Also what hardware software do people recommend for working with ford vehicles.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
Regards Tink

noone can explain how to do tuned file and dpf off in winols in a few word.
You have to buy mod file from pro tuner and study his mod file, try, study, test mod file, study again and so on!this is the only way to learn something.

Cheers Zotto thanks for the response as i find some answers better than none as i said this is all new to me but i find having forums on matters is a good way to learn things but in able to do that questions asked need to be answered one way or another otherwise the same things will keep being asked.

Also as i said i do have the demo winols i know i wont be able to do anything but i still would like someone to send me a file which i can open in winols to take a look at if they could.

This isnt a way to get free files as any vehicle will do to start with, I just want to get a file opened in winols just to see what its about and to get some hands on experiance using the program and learning my way around it so to speak before i even attempt anything.
