Can they read no read encrypted files from edc16 ecu?
Looking for something just for own personal car Bmw e60 edc16 as mpps can't read the file correctly as it saves as 72kb. Also writing back they say mpps will Brick ecu?

Any FGtech that is Not from FGTech direct is a clone as they do not have agents ect u can only buy from them so anything on sites is clone same as mpps there info is on there site who are official tool resellers.

and mpps read this ecu fine and write fine but agian am speaking from experience with genuine tools

But do not give the tool manufacturers bad name if the clone tools u use fail and brick ur ecu

The main difference is mostly just a Firmware or Software sided difference.
But you must beware and have luck with china clones, they are not all the same.
Very much of them are fine, but plenty are poor Quality.
Hardest thing is to bet what you get. If you pay more money you won't get guaranteed better quality.
For myself i bought the cheapest galetto4 v54 i could get for about 40 USD, and it works pretty good till now.

So good luck!

Hi There,

These Galletto clones are really a gamble! :geek:

You could get a fine working piece for just a couple of €uros but You could also end up burning our money ... and ECU´s!
I bought myself a China clone, worked few weeks OK and after that it did burn.
It was an easy fix, had to read a LOT of what others hed experienced with their tools.
Noticed that chine clone manufacturers place "close enough" chips in their tools, resulting a interesting mix of working/nonworking devices.
Did spend some 35 € (paid some 39€ from the device orginally) on correct components and after that it has worked like a charm!
Should have read those posts on all over the net to find out on what should be populated on the boards and change them before anything really terrible happened. On my case, it did burn just when I plugged in to my friends car... Luckilly nothing happened to his car, only my tool got fried!
