Feedback wanted: workshop-management tool for tuning shops

Postby francofgp » Mon Jul 06, 2026 5:29 pm

Hello,

Full disclosure up front: I am franco, one of the builders of Transyss (transyss.com), so I am biased. I'm not here to sell files or push a portal, I just want honest feedback from people who actually run a shop.

Background: we started building this for a chiptuning shop in Argentina that was drowning in WhatsApp + Excel + google Drive to keep track of jobs, ECU files and customers. It grew into a management tool aimed specifically at ECU/chip tuning shops.

What it does (and what it does NOT):
- Does: job queue with states/priority, per-vehicle and per-ECU history, versioned ECU file storage, customer records, team roles/permissions, and a client portal where the customer downloads their finished file instead of chasing you on WhatsApp.

- Does NOT: sell or resell files, run a dealer network, or edit maps. It's the operational backend of the shop, you keep using WinOLS / your own tools and your file sources.

How it works (the actual flow):
    1. The shop creates a login for each of its customers.
    2. The customer logs in and uploads their ECU read (the stock file).
    3. The assigned tuner sees the new job, downloads the file, and works on it in their own tools.
    4. While that happens, the customer sees the live status of their job,in queue, in progress, finished, instead of pinging "is it ready yet?" on WhatsApp.
    5. When the tuner uploads the finished file and marks the job as done, the customer can see it and download their tuned file straight from their own portal.
    6. Everything stays logged and versioned: what the customer uploaded and every file the shop added back, with a full history per vehicle and per ECU.

Why I'm posting here: you've seen every tool in this space. I would like to get some feedback. Specifically:
- If you run a shop: what actually eats your time on the admin/organization side?
- Does a tool like this solve a real problem, or is Excel + WhatsApp genuinely good enough?
- Anything that would be a hard no-go (data ownership, offline use, pricing model, etc.)?

There's a 30-day trial (no card) if anyone wants to take a look at it, but I am honestly more after the feedback than signups right now. Happy to answer any question and equally happy to hear it's not for you, and why.

Thanks, franco
